In the brightest laughter of flaunting captors a terrible sight to reason
incredible edible wrecking ball faking all as a future Neptune’s call
forsaken in the static contemplated by our hunger
as ever-bending antics of your turn-table at large
take this vision here at cost
contemplate the moments lost
an irony in sickening evening outfits as a metaphor for confidence
take off expense in future tense and self defense thereafter
compiling arms in a rat race furthering the quickened sand
consuming you from the inside of your hand and slight of palms
entangled swans and forged in bronze the book of psalms as fiction
with the same benefit of diction
traditional and self content with the alcohol addiction
please forgive my jurisdiction
as I present my valediction
as I’m faced with this eviction
each time each time each time
photographic in my misery
enchanted in each injury
the mental composition earned for a penny saved in each absolute
electrocute the time
forbidden fruit you find
to constitute as a foreign factor invading all your hard work
there’s resentment in the bitter failing of competing ailing functions
never better as an evening teller interstellar imminent in our participation
were you ever sure to let her know of weather shelter pressure center indetermination
even as you measure every pleasure’s treasure next endeavor’s dead air frozen circulation
it’s now or never, leave your terror, for this is forever
[shake your panic off it’s the last stop
race to get the spot take your mask off
old enchantments work in the atonement of sobriety
high society as a vestige of our sanity]
but that’s us try to count the blast-off
in an aching call to sweat, there’s a simple consequence
wrist rockets hitting the targets pickpockets
sending off the molotov a bouquet to get you off
take it from me it’s a sealed omen
obelisk gang signs and sigil crowns
racial gowns of property
glacial groans catastrophe
you don’t even play your part
try to make the moment spark
live it like it is
get it till you die
A Queen of modular synthesis is at work here. Fat, dark, layered synths, a driving, punchy bass range and satisfyingly dramatic arrangements. Tim Heiler
A solid debut from a promising band, Golden Head is one hell of a first statement. My favourite pick would be Morrigan, the track truly highlights everything Sol Ether has to offer. Deeply mystical work that resonates on a subconscious level, appealing to instincts and fears rather than betting on shock value. And those vocals - it’s pure primal rage
