I was on the road when you first told me
the hills like elephants of foreign amplitude
the highway stranded in severe ascension towards the sun
nerves twisted with branches learning every pitstop secrets
watching the timeline end up swallowed by the heat of august
the indeterminate as a fear of sudden chance
what more could I say to feel the nausea of announcement
And even now as you retreat your words, I still craved your presence
[Honestly I feel cold
Cold like I can not move
My mind feels tired
My mind feels tired]
the sweat was effervescent as an apparition of circumstance
I didn’t know the syncopation of your laughter or smile
so I lay awake within the walls of a now forgotten boarding home
claimed by celebrity disasters from which your name lingered on my tongue
a rusty vibrance to the ghosts trapped in every corridor
I promised to stand by your each and every chance
I promised I would be there no matter what you wanted
I promised we’d survive

A Queen of modular synthesis is at work here. Fat, dark, layered synths, a driving, punchy bass range and satisfyingly dramatic arrangements. Tim Heiler

A solid debut from a promising band, Golden Head is one hell of a first statement. My favourite pick would be Morrigan, the track truly highlights everything Sol Ether has to offer. Deeply mystical work that resonates on a subconscious level, appealing to instincts and fears rather than betting on shock value. And those vocals - it’s pure primal rage
